Starting a new week!

Monday’s always seem hectic?! Do you feel that way too? I have created, tweaked and used and posted some new recipes for flavoring butter. Lime butter, orange-chili butter- old fashioned whipped cinnamon butter. These are great to accompany many foods, corn on the cob, seafood, breakfast items. A little goes a long way! They will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days. Although, in my household nothing lasts that long! These butters are posted on Tasty Kitchen.com for your perusal, have you joined (free) yet? How is this week's menu planning coming along for you? Still stumped as what to prepare? Not yet in the groove of shopping and budgeting? It does take some time to adjust too. For me, cooking is second nature. I have company visiting so my grocery shopping has been amped up a bit and that is fine. I enjoy menu planning! Something that everyone will enjoy eating. Have you ever heard of tayberries? They are a cross between raspberry and blackberry! They are tart and are great in breakfast muffins using some granulated sugar in the batter to aid the flavor along. I made 4 dozen this morning and they were good with a hot cup of coffee. If you have purchased muffin pre-mix they can still be added into batter! Easy. Any fruit can be. Perhaps, you are not a muffin person?! A biscuit or toast is more to your liking? You can make your own jams and jellies very easily. It is just as cost effective as a jar of grape, strawberry jelly or jam. For you that may be easier. Variety is key and I like to keep that thought in mind as I create, tweak and make recipes.
