DO you love choices? I do!!!

{Most people skip breakfast, are you one of them? It is an important meal of the day!!!}

For breakfast items you will have choices. As I mentioned in previous post, pancakes can be made ahead and put in freezer bags. If two in the morning is sufficient, use a quart bag and freeze. Depending on your appetite (you should not skip breakfast!) you may choose to make smaller round pancakes 3-4″ diameter. You can warm maple syrup in a microwave safe cup to pour over pancakes. Later on I will share how to add fruit, jams, cocoa, peanut butter, nuts into pancake batter. Buying Oatmeal is a staple as well. Whole or instant oats in the case of preparing overnight oats with yogurt and fruit, or granola topping. Oatmeal is inexpensive, has a lot of fiber and can be dolled up with other ingredients. Buying plain yogurt versus fruit flavored is cheaper; you can add anything you want into plain yogurt. The key is to refrigerate in the coldest part of the refrigerator-the top back shelf, same as with Milk, sour cream. Cheeses are alright to store in a drawer of refrigerator. With any products you buy always check “use by date”. You may elect to make French Toast in the morning, very easy recipes. You can add cinnamon, cocoa powder for extra flavor. You only need 4 ounces of Orange Juice per day. You may like grapefruit juice instead, apple juice, coffee, tea, glass of cold Milk. DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST! You can scramble eggs in the microwave easily. Add bacon bits for added flavor. Bacon bits (Real) can be used in many recipes. A 5 ounce bag can last more than one week depending on what you are making to eat. They are great with eggs, salads to name a few. If you are in classes at the lunch time break or working DO NOT SKIP LUNCH! Packing a lunch is easy. A reasonably priced thermal hand bag works well. Freeze 16.9 ounce bottles of purified water to use to keep lunch cold and fresh, plus you have a beverage (you can add crystal light tubes of flavoring, Hawaiian punch tubes, they usually come boxed with 6-8 tubes for around one dollar each) again, Dollar General has these in grape flavor, orange, lemonade, punch flavors to name a few. Bottle water is an essential product you will purchase a 24 pack for around $3.00. DO NOT Re-USE EMPTY WATER OR SODA BOTTLES TO REFILL, not a good idea. Discard any and all plastic bottles in your recycling garbage, if available. I will close wishing you “Good Health”. cheffie cooks easy…1-2-3.
