Nutella Cookie Bars

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee Nutella and buy it in packs of three (at Sam’s Club), very reasonably priced, as it is high in the regular grocery store chains. This recipe is so easy. Using a refrigerated 16 ounce sugar cookie dough, flour your work surface and roll it out to fit a small baking sheet pan (non stick). Place into the oven and bake @400 F  8-10 minutes or until lightly brown. Allow to cool a few minutes then slap that Nutella on top using an offset spatula, spread Nutella all over the top (be generous), return to the oven for 2-3 more minutes of bake time. You can add nuts to the top if you want to. (I use chopped pecans).

I usually use cool whip for the topping (you can make homemade whipped cream if desired). Once it has completely cooled add cool whip and immediately refrigerate until ready to cut and serve.
