On your budget you can afford a 4-5 pound shoulder pork or butt roast. It is best to slow cook this particular cut of pork. It will be super easy to pull apart when cooked. You will need 1 cup water, 2 cups vegetables stock, sliced onion, salt, black pepper the pork roast, just place in crock pot/slow cooker and cook on low heat 6 hours. If you enjoy BBQ sauce this can be purchased or homemade. One package of rolls or buns of your choice and you will be ready to enjoy some terrific and easy pulled pork. The pork will freeze fine once pulled (and cooled down) and there are a great many recipes you can make. Shredded Pork Taco’s is a favorite.
I like to serve pulled Pork BBQ sandwiches with a side of Cole slaw super economical to make! Or you might choose a cucumber-onion salad, potato salad to accompany the pulled pork roast. Corn on the cob is another favorite side dish. Do not forget mashed potatoes, french fries. Many options!
In closing, I wish you Good Health!
